We're too much used of living always in the same place.
There was a time when it was just the opossite. People were always moving, like that passing star that never finds its destination. Never staying too much time on a specific location. But that obviously was so long ago. Since then we got used to spend our lives always in the same place, like old trees embracing the land. So much that our minds tends to think there's nothing beyond. But then you decide to start traveling.

When you travel, the perception of what's around changes. Like the American novelist Henry Miller said, one's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things. One day you wake up in one place, and hours later you're dozens of hundreds of kilometers away. Different landscapes, different people, different customs. A mirror that returns a different view. But then you realize it's not about the culture or the landscapes. At the end, on the inside, you understand that people are just the same everywhere. Same red running inside, same feelings.
When you're away from the place you call home, you usually have a feeling of displacement. Everything seems right, but you feel out of place. Like that book you have put once and again back on its correct section, you feel you don't belong there. But what happens when you already felt you belong to nowhere?
Then you find it doesn't matter where you may ever be, but who you are with. Your home is not anymore a piece of land, but a place at the side of someone.
